At Winning Ways Inc., we believe that leadership rooted in lived experience drives lasting change. Today, we proudly celebrate the work of our founder, Dr. Kevin Paulin, whose expertise and commitment to economic empowerment are making an impact beyond our organization.

This spring, Dr. Paulin is collaborating with Level to help develop a groundbreaking five-part financial education series designed specifically for individuals who are incarcerated. This initiative is not a Winning Ways program, but it reflects the very heart of our mission: empowering people to rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and hope.

Financial literacy is often the missing piece for people returning home from incarceration. Without the tools to manage money, build credit, and plan for the future, too many are pushed back into cycles of instability. Dr. Paulin’s looks to add value to this national curriculum ensuring that participants will receive accessible education tailored to their unique needs — an essential step toward lasting reentry success.
Dr. Kevin Paulin explains:
“Through participant feedback, we hear a consistent message: ‘Teach us how to thrive, not just survive.’ Financial education is not just a personal victory—it’s a community victory. When one person gains the tools to build a better life, their family, their neighborhood, and our entire society move forward. Together, we win by creating sustainable change—one person, one family, one community at a time.”
This new series, supported by seed funding from Next Gen Personal Finance, will cover critical topics such as budgeting, saving, credit repair, debt management, responsible investing, and building intergenerational wealth. By centering the lived experiences of returning citizens, the series offers more than technical knowledge — it offers hope, opportunity, and a pathway to economic freedom.
At Winning Ways, we are proud to see our founder’s expertise influencing national efforts that align so closely with our own values. Dr. Paulin’s leadership demonstrates that when credible messengers are part of the solution, entire communities benefit.
As we honor Financial Literacy Month and Second Chance Month, we reaffirm our belief that with the right support and the right tools, individuals overcoming trauma, incarceration, and recovery can achieve extraordinary things.
Together, we win.
