A Collaborative Triumph “Spit and Paint: Financial Literacy/Homeownership” at NXTHVN

By grantsadmin

The heart of New Haven pulsed vibrantly last night at NXTHVN, 169 Henry St., as two powerhouses, Winning Ways Inc. and Next Level Empowerment, came together for the “Spit and Paint: Financial Literacy/Homeownership” event on September 27, 2023.

JaSun Dorsey, our special guest poet, painted the evening with words that echoed deep within our souls. His powerful poems left an indelible mark, with the audience responding in roaring applause. Amidst this poetic fervor, DJ KissMe’s tunes kept spirits high and feet tapping, setting a lively backdrop for the evening.

Kevin Paulin, the executive director of Winning Ways, enlightened the audience on the nuances of homeownership and the pillars of financial literacy. His insights, though briefly shared, were a beacon for many seeking guidance.

This collaborative event wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support and encouragement from Ray and Jacqueline Boyd, the dynamic co-founders of Next Level Empowerment. Their passion and commitment to community empowerment were evident throughout the evening. A heartfelt thank you to them for making this union of art, music, and financial wisdom a reality.

The synergy between Winning Ways and Next Level Empowerment was palpable, reminding us of the magic that happens when like-minded organizations join forces for a shared cause.

For those who couldn’t join us, keep an eye out for future collaborations. They promise to be just as enlightening and inspiring!
