We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our board of directors: Rashid E. Farrell. Rashid brings a wealth of experience in HR leadership and community involvement, along with a profound dedication to education and achievement in underserved communities. With a diverse background and a remarkable track record, Rashid is poised to make a substantial impact as a board member at Winning Ways.


An Inspiring Background
Rashid is a first-generation American with roots in Antigua and Ghana. Raised by a Ghanaian man he considers his father, Rashid’s cultural background has greatly shaped his life. As a product of Waterbury, CT, Rashid is no stranger to the needs and opportunities of our community. His experiences across multiple states – Indiana, California, Texas, Washington, and Virginia – have exposed him to a broad range of perspectives and shaped his ability to connect with diverse communities.


A Proven Track Record in Leadership
In his professional life, Rashid is a respected HR leader with nearly two decades of experience. Most recently, he served as the Global HR Leader for the Cloud First Business Groups at Accenture. Prior to this role, he held leadership positions at prominent firms such as Microsoft, United Technologies Corporation, and ExxonMobil. Rashid’s work history spans multiple industries and regions, making him a versatile and insightful addition to our board.


Community Impact
Rashid’s passion for creating access for underserved communities, particularly in the realm of education and achievement, resonates strongly with Winning Ways’s mission. In addition to his work with Winning Ways, Rashid currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board at Alexander Hamilton Scholars and Trustee at The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management. His dedication to community involvement is evident in his work on these boards and in his role as
the host of the Legacy Hustle Podcast.


A Personal Touch
Beyond his professional accomplishments and community work, Rashid is known for his love of travel, appreciation for arts from around the world, and his passion for great conversations over great meals. Together with his wife Rashida, Rashid enjoys exploring the vibrant cultural scene in the DC metro area where they reside.
